    Donald Earl Wright It is with joyful hearts and cherished memories that we celebrate the life of Donald Earl Wright, who was born on Jan. 1, 1959, in Ft. Lauderdale, and passed away on Jan. 1, 2025. Donald, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, resided in Perry. He is survived by his devoted wife, Annette Wright, who stood by his side through life’s many adventures. He was a skilled millwright in the sawmill industry and took great pride in his work. His dedication and craftsmanship earned him the respect of many in his field. Beyond his professional life, Donald found immense joy in the great outdoors, where he spent countless His love for shooting guns was matched only by his passion for cooking, where he was known as a great chef among family and friends. For Donald, family was everything. He delighted in spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren sharing laughter and creating memories that will last a lifetime. He was a source of wisdom and warmth, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. Donald was preceded in death by: his parents; his bonus dad, Donnie “Pops” Newsome; and his sister, Sandy Jo Courson. He is survived by: his wife of almost 30 years, Annette Wright; his daughter, Akista Anderson; two grandchildren, Kalsee Jo Anderson and Keistin Anderson (Ali); and three great-grandchildren, Kabrie Palmer, Waylon Palmer and Macklyn McIntosh; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and many close friends. A memorial service in his honor will be held at a later date. Details regarding the time and location will be shared closer to the date. As we remember Donald, let us hold onto the wonderful moments we shared with him: the laughter echoing around a family meal, the thrill of a successful outing and the profound love that continues to bind us together. May his spirit live on in our hearts forever.
