Hattie Belle Smith

Hattie Belle Smith, 73, of Perry, departed this life on Dec. 31, 2024, at home.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, Jan. 11, at 11 a.m., at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, followed by burial in the Springhill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 10, from 4-7 p.m., at Evans Walker Funeral Home (907 Homer J. Smith Ave.).

Hattie Belle is survived by: her only son, Dennis August (Kim); her loving sisters, Lillie Mae Griffin and Bonita Smith; her precious grandchildren, Sa-Mia August, Shakeir August, Lyrics Davis (Antonio) and Denniveon August.

She is also survived by five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and caring friends who will all dearly miss her presence.

Evans Walker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
