City council agrees to allow livestock on school grounds for agricultural classes

The city council has adopted an ordinance that will allow livestock animals to be housed on active school grounds for use in agricultural classes, 4-H and Future Farmers of America (FFA) shows and sales – as long as such facilities are located at least 200 feet away from any residentially zoned property.
