    Bus driver complains of second-hand impairment

    More than a half-dozen law enforcement officers responded to an incident Thursday evening on U.S. Hwy. 19 South near Red Padgett Road after a Greyhound bus driver called for assistance, claiming she feared she was “impaired” from second-hand marijuana smoke. Taylor County Sheriff’s Office deputies were on scene for hours until a supervisor and — eventually — a back-up driver arrived. No drugs were found at the scene.

    Greyhound bus passengers were stranded on the side of Highway 19 South for several hours Thursday evening, Jan. 16, after the bus driver called for assistance, stating she feared she was “impaired” from second-hand marijuana smoke.
