Inez Shaw Griffin Nov. 30, 1930 – Jan. 22, 2025 John Shaw Jr. Sept. 30, 1933 – Jan. 22, 2025 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Inez Shaw Griffin, 94, and her brother, John Shaw Jr., 91. They were inseparable in life and in the afterlife. John was born Sept. 30, 1933, and departed Jan. 21, 2025. Inez was born Nov. 30, 1930, and departed Jan. 22, 2025. They were both born to the late John Sr. and Minnie Shaw. Inez leaves behind to cherish her memories: her daughter, Regina Griffin; her children-in-love, Donny, Debra, Judy and Dale Pigford; her nieces, Geraldine Slaughter and Nita Summerall (Jeffery); her nephew, Darrly Shaw (Pam); 20 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends who will dearly miss her presence. John leaves to cherish his memories his son, Darryl Shaw (Pam) and his daughter, Nita Summerall (Jeffery). Numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews also are left to cherish their memories. Viewing for Inez will be held Friday, Jan. 31, from 4-6 p.m. At New Brooklyn Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 1, at New Brooklyn Missionary Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Springhill Cemetery. Evans Walker is in charge of her arrangements. Funeral services for John will be held Feb. 1 in Miami.
