You are invited to bid on a General Contract, including selective demolition and an addition for the existing Millwright lab in Perry, Florida. The addition consists of approximately 3000 sq. ft. All Bids must be on a lump sum basis; segregated Bids will not be accepted.
All Bidders must possess a state license as a general contractor. The contractor must have 5 years experience with commercial and instructional construction. The contractor must be able to demonstrate in letter form to the School Board of at least two other school related projects and at least 5 previous metal building erection experiences of a similar scope and size. The contractor must have an approved OSHA safety plan for all work and be able to produce the metal finish and weather tightness warranty for all work completed.
A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held for General Contractors on March 25, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. EST. at Building A of Big Bend Technical College at 3233 S. Byron Butler Pkwy. Perry, FL 32348

Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Chapter 373, Florida Statutes, the following application for permit was received on October 8, 2024:
Martin Marietta Materials, Inc., 4123 Parklake Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612-2309, has submitted for renewal Water Use Permit application 221174-3, for daily withdrawals of 2 million gallons of surface water for mining use. This project is located in Sections 4-9, Township 4S, Range 4E, in Taylor County.
Interested persons may comment upon the application or submit a written request for a staff report containing proposed agency action regarding the application by writing to the Suwannee River Water Management District, Attn: Resource Management, 9225 C.R. 49, Live Oak, Florida 32060. Such comments or requests must be received by 5:00 PM within 14 days from the date of publication.
No further public notice will be provided regarding this application. A copy of the staff report must be requested in order to remain advised of further proceedings. A Public Opening of the Bids is scheduled for April 22nd, 2025, at 6:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as possible, at 201 East Green Street, Perry, Florida, 32347. Bids will be opened during a regularly scheduled Board of County Commissioners meeting.
A MANDATORY meeting to provide contractor orientation materials and visit the scheduled projects will be held on March 27th, 2025, at 10:00 am, located at 481 Industrial Park Drive, Perry, Florida 32348. The meeting will take place in the airport terminal conference room. You must attend this meeting to receive the bid documents and attend the review of the projects. The visit to the projects will immediately follow the orientation meeting.
