Sheriff Padgett tells commission to raise property taxes and ‘blame me’

In a somewhat heated exchange at Monday night’s meeting, Sheriff Wayne Padgett told Taylor County commissioners to raise property taxes to the 10 mill cap and “blame me” instead of seeking cuts to the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) budget.
