    Two ejected in boat crash at Keaton Beach channel

    It was unclear as of press time if the boating accident that occurred Friday in the Keaton Beach channel involved a collision with a channel marker, many of which are rusted, broken, missing or damaged. County officials and private citizens have requested the U.S. Coast Guard repair or replace the markers for more than a year.

    Two people were ejected when their boat crashed into an unknown object around Marker #6 as they were navigating the main channel out of Keaton Beach on Friday morning, April 11.
