David Jones

David Jones, 100, a resident of Tampa, transitioned on June 27, 2025.

He was a native of Perry, former member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, a concrete finisher by trade and had a passion for fishing and hunting.

He was a member of New Bright Missionary Baptist Church in Tampa.

Davis leaves to cherish his life and continue his legacy: his children, David Jones Jr., Tampa, Margaret Jones, Sharon (John) Hall, Cathy Jones and Kerry Jones, all of Philadelphia, Pa.; a sister, Annie Price of Perry; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.

Public visitation will be held Friday, July 11, from 5-6 p.m. at New Brooklyn Missionary Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 12, at 11 a.m. at New Brooklyn. Interment will follow at Springhill Cemetery.
