The Taylor County Commission is set to begin budget discussions in earnest next week, with the board facing the daunting challenge of producing a balanced county budget despite the loss of millions of dollars in property tax revenues due to the closure of Georgia-Pacific’s Foley Cellulose mill and damages from Hurricane Helene.
