The Taylor County Commission has agreed to cut down 17 trees at Forest Capital Park – all located within striking distance of the Perry Garden Club’s building — due to a combination of hurricane damage and beetle infestations.
In early June, representatives from the Perry Garden Club asked that 17 trees be cut down to prevent them from potentially falling and damaging the club’s building, which is located at Forest Capital Park. On Monday, the Taylor County Commission agreed to cut down all 17 trees after receiving a report stating that 10 of the trees suffered from either hurricane damage and/or beetle infestations.Subscribe to our e-Edition and read the rest of the story.
