    City once again down to just 1 garbage truck

    Mechanical problems continue to plague the City of Perry Sanitation Department’s garbage truck fleet, as all three trucks were out of commission several weeks ago. Streets and Sanitation Department Supervisor Danielle Ondash recently gave the council an update, stating that the newest truck, which is still under warranty, was in the shop due to an exhaust sensor and one of the older trucks is “completely done for.”

    For the second time in the past year, City of Perry sanitation workers have been forced to rely on a front end loader and dump truck to perform residential household trash collection after the city’s entire fleet of garbage trucks have gone down for repairs.
