The driver of a light blue tricycle (left) suffered serious injuries in a Tuesday morning crash at the intersection of Jefferson Street (Hwy. 221) and Ash Street around 7:57 a.m. Based on preliminary reports, the cyclist was traveling south on the northbound side of Jefferson Street when it may have entered the intersection and was struck by a white car traveling east on Ash Street. The cyclist was flown to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital and listed in critical condition as of press time. Due to the serious nature of the victim’s injuries, the Perry Police Department has initiated a traffic homicide investigation, according to Capt.
