County hit with $1.9 million loss in tax revenues

Although the drop in the county’s overall taxable values this year is not as bad as initially feared, the Taylor County Commission is still facing a $1.9 million loss in property tax revenues – a reduction of 12% from the current year — as it begins summer budget discussions this week.
