When Florida was the ‘Moonshine State…’

Florida historian and author Robert Buccellato of Tallahassee will be the guest speaker for the Friends of the Taylor County Public Library’s Monday, July 28, meeting.

His works include “Rum Runners and Moonshiners of Old Florida,” Volumes I and II.

“Travel back to one of Florida’s most colorful, violent, intoxicating and fun times, when Florida was known as not only the Sunshine State, but also as the Moonshine State,” Friends President James Gross said.

The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m., and a door prize will be awarded.

Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
