It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pearl Leavon Denmark, born on July 29, 1957, in Perry. Pearl departed this world on Friday, July 18, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter and cherished memories. She was a beloved mother to her five children: Patricia McMullen and her husband, Mitchell; Pamela Moore; Donald Denmark Jr. and his wife, Dena; Ladonna Denmark; and Becky Denmark; and a dear friend to many. She is also survived by: 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four brothers; and five sisters; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Coy Lee and Corris Leona Williams; her husband, Donald Denmark Sr.; and two sisters, Martha Leona All and Janice McCullah. Pearl was a spirit vibrant and free – her greatest joys found in the simplicity of life. An ardent lover of the outdoors, she spent countless days fishing under the warm sun, her laughter echoing through the trees and mingling with the gentle ripples of the water. Pearl’s passion for dancing brought her immense joy; she could often be found twirling gracefully with friends, reflecting the joy and zest for life she embodied so effortlessly. He tenacity and strength shone through as she navigated life’s challenges with grace and resilience. Pearl Leavon Denmark will be remembered for her kind spirit, warm smile and the loving moments shared with family and friends. Her presence in the lives of those who knew her will be profoundly missed. Funeral services will be held in her honor on Friday, July 25, at 11 a.m. at Northside Church of Christ, where we will celebrate the life she lived and the love she shared. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, July 24, from 6-8 p.m. at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home in Perry. May she rest in peace, forever in our hearts.
