Commission cuts TCSO budget by $200,000 from current year funding level

Following a heated exchange between Taylor County Sheriff Wayne Padgett and the Taylor County Commission during a budget workshop last week, the board has penciled in $8,933,000 in funding for the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) in next year’s county budget – a $320,000 reduction from the sheriff’s current year budget.
