Batteries, generators, more permanently sales tax free

In addition to a month-long sales tax holiday for back-to-school supplies, the Florida Legislature permanently exempted from sales tax a number of disaster-preparedness items such as batteries and generators, along with bicycle helmets and insect repellent.
