Looking for a way to give back and support local youth in the community?
Taylor County 4-H will hold volunteer training Tuesday, Aug. 5, at noon (lunch will be provided).
“Being a 4-H volunteer leader is a great way to help kids and improve your community. The program teaches local youth important skills for their future. As a leader, you guide and mentor them, helping them explore their interests, set goals and learn skills such as leadership and responsibility,” 4-H Agent Abbey Tharpe said.
Current 4-H Clubs include: Culinary Club, Cloverbud Club, Sewing Club, Sharpshooters Club, Renegades Club and Livestock Club.
“Your help would be appreciated to lead a club or simply be an extra set of hands at the club meetings, which are typically held once a month from 3:30-4:45 p.m.,” Tharpe said.
