    School board to seek historical designation for ‘Rock Building’?

    Plans to sell the “Old Rock Building,” which once housed Perry Elementary and several other school programs over the years, may be on hold, as School Board Member Jeannie Mathis is researching possibly designating the site as a historical landmark.

    The Taylor County School Board has requested additional information on the process to designate the “Old Rock Building” school site as a historical landmark.
