County property tax rates to remain at current level

The Taylor County Commission has elected to keep the county’s 2025-26 property tax millage rates the same as the current year, avoiding a rate increase despite losing $1.9 million in tax revenues due to the closure of Georgia-Pacific’s Foley Cellulose Mill and damages inflicted by Hurricane Helene.
