U.S. 19 sewer line repairs

Working inside a protective red “trench box,” City of Perry workers removed what appeared to be tile grout partially obstructing a 12-foot section of sewer main under Hwy. 19 in front of the EconoLodge motel on Wednesday. City Wastewater Superintendent Shawn O’Quinn said the discovery was made as the city ruled out a potential line leak reported by a FDOT crew working on an underground depression in the area.
