    Local Winn-Dixie closes its doors for the final time

    After more than 70 years of feeding the Taylor County community, Perry’s Winn-Dixie grocery store closed its doors for the final time this past Sunday, Aug. 10.

    The loyal and dedicated workforce at the Perry Winn-Dixie had almost 100% attendance for an emotional final day before the store closed last week. After closing, the 40-plus employees gathered for this photo, posing with a banner signed by each worker who showed up to help customers right up ‘til The End’.
