Ms. Willie Mae Bolden, 99, affectionately known as “Aunt Willie Mae” and “Pumpkin” departed this life on Aug. 4, 2025.
She is a native of Folkston, Ga.
She spent years in Folkston and Daytona Beach before moving to Perry.
In Perry, she lived with her nephew, William “Ricky” Bolden and his wife, Lessie, until her health declined; then, she became a resident of Marshall Health Facility, which is now Aviata at Big Bend.
When she moved to Perry, she joined the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church.
To precede her in death were: her parents, William A. Bolden and Frances Smalls Bolden; sister, Angeline Bolden; and brothers, Nathaniel and William A. Bolden.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Public visitation will be held Saturday, Aug. 16, from 10:30-11 a.m., prior to an 11 a.m. Celebration of Life service at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church.
Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Trinity Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
