Linda Faircloth passed away on Aug. 2, 2025, in Gainesville.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. S
he enjoyed road trips with her grandchildren, time spent with family and friends, and was an avid Bingo player.
She worked for the Taylor County School District as a bus driver for 39 years and worked at Pouncey’s Restaurant for 12 years.
Linda also drove special needs students from Perry to Tallahassee for 12 years, and while there she worked at W.T. Moore School with the lunch program.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Jessie Faircloth; her parents, Ernest and Clara Mae Walsingham; a brother, John Henry Walsingham; and two grandchildren, Marshal Faircloth and Travis Lee Cruce.
She is survived by: son, James Faircloth (Aida); daughter, Tammi Cruce; two granddaughters, Jessica Faircloth and Tashina Cruce; two grandsons, Matthew Faircloth and Andrew Cruce; great-grandchildren, Troy Lindsey, Kyleigh Cruce, Levi Cruce, Parker Schmidt, Lillee Cruce, Aleeah Freeman and Remington Cruce; two brothers, Bill Walsingham (Patty) of Clearwater and Danny Walsingham (Marsha) of New Port Richey; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life memorial will be held Saturday, Aug. 16, at 11 a.m., at Antioch Church in Perry with Brother Cricket Watson officiating. A fellowship dinner will be held following the service.
