Tailgate downtown before the game

Everyone in Taylor County – and those in neighboring counties – are invited to Downtown Perry this Fridaynight, Aug. 15, for a “Bulldog Tailgate Party” from 5:30-9 p.m.

As part of the Taylor County Chamber of Commerce’s ongoing “3rd Friday” event series, Main Street will be closed to traffic, craft vendors will be set up, businesses, shops, boutiques and restaurants will be open late.

“DJ P-Rez” will provide non-stop upbeat tunes for those who want to enjoy an evening of shopping and dining downtown prior to kickoff of the Taylor County Bulldogs’ first home football game of the 2025 season.

Vendor spots are still available (at no charge) and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis by calling the Chamber of Commerce at 584-5366.

The TCHS Bulldogs will battle the Lafayette County Hornets in a preseason “Kickoff Classic” game beginning at 7 p.m. at Dorsett Stadium.
