    Commission approves certificate for second ambulance company to provide interfacility transports

    Greg Melvin with Specialized Event Services addresses the Taylor County Commission about receiving a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity COPCN for interfacility transfers, as well as for providing advanced life support (ALS) transport services at special events.

    Four months after issuing a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (COPCN) to Survival Flight EMS, LLC, allowing the company to offer interfacility transports in the county, the Taylor County Commission has approved a similar COPCN for another ambulance operator — Specialized Event Services, LLC.
