Perry’s taxable values up $6.3 million despite hurricanes, mill closure

Despite three hurricanes and two mill closures, the taxable value of property in the City of Perry rose by $6.3 million in 2025, according to a preliminary tax roll presentation provided to the city council Tuesday night by Taylor County Property Appraiser Shawna Beach.
