Aug. 29 fish fry benefits local family

A fish fry fundraiser to benefit local cancer patient Heath Wiles and his family will be held Friday, Aug. 29, in the parking lot adjacent to NAPA Auto Parts.

Serving will begin at 11 a.m. and continue “until the fish are gone.”

Wiles, a 2002 graduate of Taylor County High School (TCHS) and former TCHS Bulldog, has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of esophageal cancer. He will be receiving chemotherapy at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville.

Proceeds from the fish fry will help the family with travel and living expenses as he is unable to work at this time.

Fish dinners will be $12 each.
