Council makes no major edits to city’s budget

The Perry City Council made no major changes to its proposed fiscal year 2025-26 budget at its Aug. 12 meeting, despite a proposal by Councilwoman Shirlie Hampton to cut several proposed capital outlay purchases or pull from reserves to offset her proposed utility rate cuts.
