Building for the Future!

Concrete foundation work was underway this week at Big Bend Technical College (BBTC) on Industrial Drive, as contractors working for the Taylor County School District began construction on a $5 million “Advanced Manufacturing Facility” designed to train the next generation of workers for current and future industries in Taylor County. The new 10,000-square-foot advanced manufacturing facility will be equipped with “state-of-the-art” tools and technology thanks to a $3.4 million workforce capitalization grant that will offer training tailored to meet the needs of existing local industries, as well as new ones looking to locate here.
