The seventh annual Noah’s Legacy Day will be held Saturday, Sept. 13, at Point of Grace Christian School (POG) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event — organized in recognition of September as “Childhood Cancer Awareness Month” — is being held in memory of Noah Amador and will benefit the Chordoma Foundation.
Noah battled cancer for more than half his young life before he died on April 27, 2021, one month shy of his kindergarten graduation from POG.
“All proceeds will go to the foundation, specifically for pediatric chordoma research,” Noah’s mother, Kathy Flores said.
The event, which is being co-hosted by Noah’s family and POG, is open to the community.
“In honor of Noah’s love for all things Mario, we’ll be holding a Mario Kart race once again. We had so much fun with our Mario Kart races last year, we’re bringing them back — bigger and better than ever. This year, we’re hosting three exciting types of races: Anything BUT a Bed Race; Cardboard Box Races; and MarioKart Video Game Tournament,” Flores said.
Prizes will be awarded for the winners of each race and best decorated cars in each age group.
Vendors from the monthly “Second Saturday in the Park” event will be on hand, and concessions will also be sold.
