A mechanical failure led to a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of Main Street and Center Street Monday afternoon. The Perry Police Department (PPD) reported that a Chevrolet truck was traveling south on Center Street when a tie rod broke, causing the truck to veer into the oncoming traffic lane.
