School board approves $31 million budget

Despite ominous warnings of steep budget cuts and a round of “deficit spending” toward the end of the 2024-25 fiscal year, the Taylor County School District has adopted an estimated $31 million budget that was significantly bolstered by a $3 million allocation from the state designated as “hurricane relief.”
