Buggy/jeep ride, poker run and auction will benefit Mock family

Two upcoming events will benefit Ashley and Nicole Mock, supporting Nicole’s ongoing battle against cancer and Ashley’s recovery from critical injuries sustained in a four-vehicle crash.

The first event, a Spring Creek Buggy/Jeep Ride, will be held Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Big Bend Wildlife Management Area (Spring Creek Unit). The ride starts at 10:30 a.m., and $20 donations per vehicle are requested to benefit the family.

The second event, a Benefit Poker Run & Auction, will be held Saturday, Oct. 18.

Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. at RP Specialities with “kickstands up” at 10:30 a.m.

The ride will end at Nowhere Grille where there will be live music, a live auction, raffles, cake and casserole auction.
