    The Florida Forest Festival is back and ready to celebrate its 70th year

    Remember: the comeback is always stronger than the setback.

    After most of the Florida Forest Festival’s events were canceled in the wake of Hurricane Helene last year, the 70th annual festival is back this year, beginning this Saturday, Oct. 4, with the Florida Forest Festival Queen pageant. The festival’s big day is set for Saturday, Oct. 25, at Forest Capital Park with most of the usual events back, including the World’s Largest Free Fish Fry (above).

    While Taylor County has been hit with a series of economic and weather-related setbacks in the past few years, the community’s comeback story is gaining momentum!
