Susan Sauls Hartway

‘Super Sue’ & ‘Marsh Girl’ Susan Sauls Hartway, also known as “Super Sue” and “Marsh Girl,” passed away on Oct. 11, 2025. She was 57. Susan was born in Perry to Edwin Sauls and Cheryl Guilford Hightower on June 19, 1968. She was preceded in death by her father, Edwin Sauls, and her brother, Michael Sauls. She is survived by: her son, Michael and his wife, Jordyn Hartway; her grandchildren, Charli and Madi; her parents, Cheryl and Dean Hightower; her sister, Linda Dianne Griffin and her husband, Bruce; and two brothers, Ed Sauls and Steven Sauls; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. A celebration of Susan’s life will be held Friday, Oct. 17, at 2 p.m. at Ezell Beach with Brother Jason Pilkington officiating. All arrangements are under the care of Joe P. Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
