    Legislative delegation receives local requests

    Taylor County Commission Chairman Jamie English (left) kicked off Monday’s legislative delegation meeting by presenting a list of requests to Florida Rep. Jason Shoaf (right), who was present at the meeting, and Sen. Corey Simon, who participated by phone due to recovering from a recent surgery.

    City of Perry, Taylor County, School Board and Taylor County Development Authority (TCDA) officials submitted a lengthy list of funding requests to the Florida Legislature during the annual “Legislative Delegation” meeting held Monday morning in Perry.
