Alvin Henry Lee Jr. It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Alvin Henry Lee Jr., a cherished husband, friend and community member, who left us on Oct. 20, 2025, at the age of 78. Born and raised in Cabbage Grove, Alvin spent his formative years surrounded by the vibrant natural beauty that would shape his love for the outdoors, especially his treasured pastime of hog hunting with his beloved hunting dogs. Alvin was a proud American Indian, whose roots in Perry ran deep. He graduated from high school and channeled his entrepreneurial spirit to Alvin Henry Lee Jr. establish Lee’s Heating and Air in 1974. For decades, he dedicated himself to his craft and built a business that became a trusted resource within the community. His commitment to quality service and warm interactions left a lasting impact on countless clients and friends. Alvin’s love for life was evident in everything he did, especially in the time he spent with his wife, Jan Lee, and their family. He cherished the moments shared with loved ones, creating memories f illed with laughter and joy. His engaging personality and generous heart will be deeply missed by those fortunate enough to know him. Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Lee and Faye Blue. He is survived by: his wife of 33 years, Jan Lee; his son, Rodney Lee and his wife, Alana; his three granddaughters, Kathy Lee, Ayla Lee and Mandy Lee; his stepchildren, Jim Faircloth and Clair Whiddon; his grandchildren, stepBrittany Faircloth, Mason Porter, Sally Faircloth and Nick Whiddon; and four greatgrandchildren. A private memorial service will be held at a later date where all who knew Alvin are welcome to pay their respects and join in remembering a remarkable man. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Big Bend Hospice of Taylor County.
