ALDI is seeking to sublease approximately half of the total 45,000 square feet of commercial retail space formerly utilized by Winn-Dixie. The Perry Winn-Dixie is one of approximately 220 Winn-Dixie and Harveys Supermarket stores that are transitioning into a smaller, simpler ALDI format as part of ALDI’s purchase of nearly 300 stores in Florida from Jacksonville-based Southeastern Grocers. Inc. in March 2024.
Contractors have started preliminary work on a major remodeling of the former Winn-Dixie supermarket location in Perry into a new ALDI – one of the fastest-growing grocery stores in the United States.
