3 days of ‘Hatchee Haunts’ Oct. 30-Nov. 1

    Posted on October 29, 2025

For the third year, Steinhatchee will once again host three fun and spooky nights of “Hatchee Haunts” celebration beginning on Thursday, Oct. 30 and continuing through Nov. l.

Gates open at 7 p.m. on Thursday night (Oct. 30), and entry into the Haunted House, which organizers say will be even spookier and better than the previous two years, will begin at “dark thirty.”

The grill will be fired up, providing smoke effects, as well as hamburgers and hotdogs. Snacks and drinks will be available, in addition to carnival-style games with candy and prizes.

Bring a blanket and a chair so you can stay and watch “Hocus Pocus 2” playing on the Steinhatchee School ball field beginning at 8 p.m.

On Halloween night (Friday, Oct. 31, from 7-11 p.m.), in addition to the spooky, spectacular Haunted House, there will be a “Trunk or Treat,” with golf carts and vehicles giving out candy and competing for “best decorated trunk,” in addition to fun carnival games with prizes and more good food from the “grilling ghouls.”

Winning “trunks” will receive: (1st place) $100 Fiddler’s Restaurant & Resort gift card, (2nd) $50 Stoney’s Pizza gift card and (3rd) $25 Kathi’s Krabs gift card.

Trunk or Treat set up and decorating will be allowed from 4-6:30 p.m. (no participating vehicles or golf carts allowed in after 6:30 p.m.).

Gates open to the general public at 7 p.m. A Halloween-themed movie will begin at 8 p.m.

Saturday night (Nov. 1) will get even more scary. Gates open at 7:30 p.m., as the Haunted House becomes even more creepy. A “very scary movie” will be viewed on the ball field screen at 8 p.m. Adult supervision will be required for all “little goblins.”

The concession stand will be open, offering up movie-style snacks (popcorn, nachos, candy and drinks). Bring your chairs and blankets and visit the Haunted House one more time before it disappears until next year.
