‘Cookie Walk’ set Dec. 6 for downtown Christmas celebration

Local downtown businesses are invited to take part in a “Cookie Walk” planned as part of the 2025 Downtown Christmas on the Square.

The Cookie Walk will be part of activities planned Saturday, Dec. 6, in historic downtown Perry.

Businesses are asked to share free samples of signature cookies to visiting customers, who will then vote for their favorite.

This year’s Christmas celebration, coordinated by the Taylor County Historical Society, will feature a Vendor Stroll Friday, Dec. 5, from 6-8 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Chamber of Commerce’s lighted Christmas parade will be held Friday night, starting at 6 p.m.

There will also be caroling, a tree-lighting ceremony, arts and craft vendors, food vendors/ trucks, visits with Santa, a chili supper and much more.
