It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gregory Allen Weaver, also known as “Greg” or “Weaver,” who departed this life on Nov. 21, 2025, at the age of 59.

Born on Feb. 8, 1966, in Bristol, Tenn., Weaver was a long-time resident of Perry.

He was a dedicated small engine repairman, well-regarded for his exceptional skills and proficiency in small engine parts.

Weaver was known for his generous spirit and willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need.

He found joy in working on trucks and was a passionate fan who faithfully watched every Gator football game.

In addition, his talents extended to the grill, where he became a pro at preparing meals for family gatherings, creating cherished memories for his loved ones.

He is survived by: his significant other, Marie Hays; his children, Chris Hays (Miranda), Sabrina Ecker, Amanda Jean Weaver and Justin Weaver; a host of grandchildren, Paisley and Eugene IV; his brothers, Harold Weaver Jr. and H. F. Weaver (Lisa); and his sisters, Karen Alday, Darlene Dorman (Tony) and Winnie Marcel (Rick); as well as a host of nieces and nephews who will carry his memory forward.

Weaver is preceded in death by his parents, Harold Weaver Sr. and Alice Weaver; and one grandchild, Grayson.

In honor of Weaver’s life, visitation will be held at Burns Funeral Home of Perry on Saturday, Nov. 29, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Family and friends are invited to join in remembering and celebrating the life of a beloved brother and friend.

Weaver will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his kindness, expertise and the joy he brought into the lives of those around him.

All arrangements are under the care of Joe P. Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
