    EMS provider switch comes 1 month early

    Century Ambulance, which has served as Taylor County’s emergency medical services (EMS) provider since 2021, concluded its service Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 8 a.m., after which the county’s new provider, Survival Flight EMS, took over. The changeover occurred one month earlier than expected, as the Taylor County Commission agreed Monday to speed up the process at the request of both companies.

    Survival Flight EMS is now officially Taylor County’s emergency medical services (EMS) provider, after the company and the county’s previous contractor, Century Ambulance, agreed to move up the transition date by a month.
