    Cars, Elvis and sentimentality

    Steinhatchee resident Herb Partin posing with his 1940 Ford Deluxe that he bought from his uncle when he was 15 years old for $150. Also behind him is Partin’s 1933 Oldsmobile that he’s owned for 45 years and which he will be driving in next month’s Fiddler Crab Festival Parade on Saturday, Feb. 14, in Steinhatchee. Partin will be heading up the “Classic Car & Truck Show” taking place during the festival.

    Throughout his lifetime, 80-year-old Steinhatchee resident Herb Partin has owned furniture and bedding stores, beauty salons and carpet businesses. But what has stuck with him the most is his love for working on cars.
