PPD: Driver admittedt o texting just before roll-over crash

The driver of this vehicle, a 38-year-old woman from Washington state, was cited for careless driving after flipping her vehicle due to excessive speed and distracted driving on Old Dixie Highway Tuesday afternoon just before 5 p.m. “Texting and driving is just as dangerous as drinking and driving,” Perry Police Department (PPD) Capt. Lin Gray said. “Your vehicle travels more than the length of a football field when you take your eyes off the road for just five seconds at 55 mph.”
