Next free pet vaccine clinic slated March 21

    Posted on March 6, 2026

More than 100 pets were treated at the Free Vaccine Clinic held Saturday, Feb. 21, at Forest Capital Hall.

Coordinated by Taylor County Animal Advocates (TCAA), the clinic is supported by Petco Love and rescue partners It’s Meow or Never for Ferals and Big Bend TNR Cat Rescue.

The next free vaccine clinic will be held Saturday, March 21, from 9 a.m. to noon, also at Forest Capital Hall.

Tropical Oasis Mobile Grooming, LLC, will be on hand offering low-cost nail trims ($10).

“We would like to thank Donna Raulerson Dayton for feeding us yummy cupcakes and Perry Newspapers for helping us spread the word,” said TCAA President Jackie Koeller.

“We welcome all healthy dogs and cats. Cats must be in carriers and dogs must have collars and be leashed. Some of the most common and deadly pet diseases are preventable. Help us stop the spread and ensure your pets are vaccinated and loved.

“We always welcome volunteers. Please e-mail taylorcountyaa@gmail. com for information on how you can join us,” Koeller said. “We are also in desperate need of syringes and needles are desperately needed, any gauge between 22 and 23 (for big dogs) to 25 (for kittens). Preferred lengths are 1/2- to 3/4-inches, and they are available on Amazon with a box of 100 for just $10.”
