Benefit lunch planned for man injured in workplace accident

A benefit lunch for a local man injured in a workplace accident will be held Friday, March 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Southern Pipe & Supply (812 J. Tom Moore Avenue).

Hamburger plates and BBQ pulled pork plates will be available for $10 each, with all proceeds benefiting Jordan Smith’s recovery.

Smith, of A.R. Smith Well Drilling, was critically injured Friday, March 6, after an accident with heavy well-drilling equipment and was airlifted to an area hospital where he remains in ICU.
