Posted on March 13, 2026
Nammo in Perry has broken ground (above) on a state-of-the-art $200 million rocket motor facility that could be just the first in a series of new manufacturing lines to be constructed in Taylor County in coming years. With the established capability, expertise and available land needed, Nammo is uniquely positioned to take advantage of the demand for missiles “increasing exponentially” over the next several years as well as new long-term contracts between the government and defense contractors that allow companies to invest in long-term production capacity that will boost production of missiles needed to help the Pentagon replenish its depleted stockpiles.
Major site clearing work is now underway at Nammo Perry, as contractors clear the way for a new $200 million state-of-the-art production facility in Taylor County that will create 200 new jobs and expand its manufacturing capabilities to meet surging demand for rocket motors used in a variety of tactical missile programs.
