A tree limb fell on a power line just north of the intersection of Highway 19 North and Ash Street when a line of severe thunderstorms moved through the area Monday. City of Perry Fire Department Fireman Charles Watson kept a watch on the downed line while waiting for a power company crew to arrive on scene. Officials reported at least one home getting struck by lightning during the storm, as well as “three or four” additional downed power lines.
